Michael Cahn

Michael grew up in Santa Fe listening to the Latin rhythms of his father’s flamenco troupe. During Spanish language studies in Cuzco, Peru, he discovered salsa dance, and when he returned to the U.S. he joined every salsa class he could find. Desiring a deeper understanding of the dance, Michael traveled to Havana Cuba to study with Yaykel Parez. He studied for the next several years, traveling to Ecuador, Mexico and all over the USA and has trained and performed with world champions, Omar Muños, Johnny Vazquez, and trained with Jonathan Ibarra, Jhon Narvarez, Adrian and Anita, Alien Ramerez and many others. He has performed and competed throughout the Northwest. He and his dance partner Dana Sindona finished in the top 5 at the 2011 and 2012 Gemini Salsa championships, and he has won multiple Jack and Jill contests in Seattle. In March of 2012,13,14,15 and 16 Michael trained and competed in the Seattle Dances benefit. Winning a mirrorball trophy in 2014 and 2016. Michael opened Sueños de Salsa in 2012 and expanded the studio in 2021 to our current  location.

Mojan Ahmadi

Mojan joined the studio as a student in 2017, and has continued dancing Salsa and Bachata ever since. As a former Zumba instructor, she loves adding in styling and spice when dancing. She primarily teaches beginners and intermediate level dancers to cover fundamentals as well as styling and footwork. Performance credits: – Salsa New Year 2018 – New Orleans Salsa and Bachata Festival 2019 – NW Folklife Festival – Numerous socials in the Seattle & Portland area.

Jaime & Janita

Janita is a performer, teacher, and choreographer from Hong Kong. She has over 15 years of experience in various dance styles such as jazz funk, hip-hop, and K-pop, and heels. Janita incorporates her strong yet feminine style into Salsa and Bachata. Outside of dancing, Janita is a personal trainer who focuses on functional resistance training and rehabilitation. Utilizing her dance and fitness backgrounds, Janita will be able to help you build strength and techniques to grow as a dancer. She emphasizes cleanliness, lines, fluidity, and finding your own style. 


With his strong sense of musicality, Jaime started his dance journey as a choreographer for Quinceañera in Mexico City in his teenage years. He discovered the passion for Salsa and Bachata after moving to the U.S. at the age of 25. Since then he’s participated in numerous performance projects such as Sapphire, Yamulee, Mi Esencia, and more. He formed a partnership with Janita and together they won first and second place in Bachata Couple Cabaret open and amateur categories at Latin Dance Crown in 2024.
